Introduction

    Yunnan Power Grid Corporation (YNPG), the solely invested sub-company of China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (CSG), is the corporate entity which undertakes the value maintaining and increasing of assets, accounts independently, and is responsible for its own profit and loss. It takes charge of the united planning, construction, management and dispatching.
    As the main part of power grid operation and trade in the whole province, YNPG takes charge of the tasks of power supplying in the province, power transmission from west to east, as well as out of the country, with the extending and covering 220kV power grid to the whole province. In 2005, YNPG's total assets were RMB 28.879 billion Yuan, with 15,875 staff, and 43.24 TWh electricity sales.
    Receiving CSG's aim of "Being Responsible for Central Government, Serving Five Provinces and Prefectures", YNPG determines "To Flourish Enterprise and Repay Country, to Pursue Excellence" as its core value, bases on the idea of "Basing on Yunnan and Serving Whole Province", which establishes the central work thought of "To Secure Power Grid, To Protect Power Supply, To Serve Excellently, To Accelerate Development, To Strengthen Management, To Develop Power Grid", and dedicates to construct modern Yunnan power grid with the characteristics of "Unified and Open, Rationally Structured, Advanced in Technology, Safe and Reliable", to take charge of more social responsibility of the general target of cultivating electric power pillar industry dominated by hydropower in Yunnan and realizing overall plentiful society.
